BREWERS BASEBALL ACADEMY WILL BE HOSTING ITS 1ST WINTER CAMP IN LAKE GENEVA ON SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 24TH! THIS CAMP IS FOR THOSE BALLPLAYERS IN 1ST-8TH GRADE LOOKING TO GET READY FOR THE SPRING SEASON. THREE CLINICS WILL BE OFFERED WITH THE OPTION TO ATTEND ONE OR ALL THREE. WHEN REGISTERING, CHOOSE WHICH POSITION(S) YOU’D LIKE TO FOCUS ON.
CLINIC 1 (9:00am-11:00am): Pitching (1st-4th Grade); Outfield (1st-4th Grade); Catching (5th-8th Grade); Infield (5th-8th Grade) – max of 12 players per position
CLINIC 2 (11:05am-11:55am): Hitting Presentation with Breakout Sessions (all ages 1st-8th Grade) - Parents (max 2) attend for free with registration of child.
CLINIC 3 (12:00pm-2:00pm): Pitching (5th-8th Grade); Outfield (5th-8th Grade); Catching (1st-4th Grade); Infield (1st-4th Grade) – max of 12 players per position
PITCHING: Proper warm-up, J-Bands, throwing progression, pitching mechanics, flat grounds, PFP’s, etc. MUST PROVIDE YOUR OWN CATCHER (PARENT, FRIEND, ETC. ANYONE UNDER 16 MUST HAVE CATCHER'S MASK).
CATCHING: Proper warm-up, receiving, blocking, throwing, passed balls, calling a game, etc.
INFIELD: Reaction/footwork drills, ready position, fielding position, working through the ball, DP feeds, etc.
OUTFIELD: Reaction/footwork drills, ready position, route running, cutting balls off, finding the wall, sliding, etc.
HITTING PRESENTATION: A breakdown of the big-league swing. Our staff will cover the hitting absolutes of the big-league swing along with drills and breakout session. Register you child(ren) and parents attend for free (max of 2 parents/guardians). Parents will also be emailed drill videos post-clinic.
REGISTRATION FEE...The cost for a two-hour Fielding Clinic is $50. The cost for the Hitting Presentation is $30.
REFUND POLICY...You may cancel one week prior to the first day of camp to receive a full refund. Once inside the one-week window refunds will not be issued. To cancel your registration please email tyler.wells@brewers.com or call 414-939-8808.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR...All players should wear flat gym shoes and suitable practice clothes. Players will receive a Brewers Winter Training shirt at check-in.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING...Bring all baseball equipment needed to perform your best at your specific session (I.e., glove for fielding and pitching, catcher's gear for catching). We will have breakout sessions during the Hitting Clinic. Please bring your bat, but no helmet required.
PITCHING SESSION ONLY...Pitchers are required to bring their own catcher (parent, sibling, teammate, etc.). Any catcher under 16 years of age will be required to wear a mask.
CAN PARENTS OBSERVE...Absolutely. Please stay to observe your child while learning at the same time.
CHILD AND DEPENDENT CARE CREDIT...Many parents use their employer's FSA benefit to save even more. Check with your employer to see if the camp fee qualifies as Dependent Care. For FSA reimbursement purposes, the camp's FEIN is 45-0643499.
BREWERS TICKETS...You will be notified via email of the game choices and how to redeem your free tickets. This information will be sent out by April 2024.
